Held in my clean, white studio, these classic sessions focus purely on your baby’s personality without distractions. When is the best time to book 6 month photos?
It is best to reach out 1 month before baby turns 6 months. Ideally, I like doing them at 6.5 months old as they are a little bit more stable when sitting independently but not yet crawling quickly.
When is the best time to book first birthday photos?
It is best to reach out 1 to 2 months before baby turns one. Most client like to have their images back to print and display for the actual birthday party. So, booking 3 to 4 weeks before the actual party is best!
What should my baby wear for milestone or first birthday photos?
For 6 months milestone photos, simple, classic outfits work best! Neutral tones, textured knits, rompers, and even just a covered diaper cover is sweet and natural. It is best to avoid white since the background is white. For cake smash sessions, many parents select a classic outfit for the portraits, followed by a cute, themed outfit for the smash portion.
Can siblings be included in the photos?
For milestone photos, we keep the focus exclusively on your growing baby! Babies are easily distracted, and avoiding siblings in the studio will help baby stay calm, happy, and engaged.
What kind of food should I bring for the cake smash?
To ensure your baby’s safety regarding allergies and food sensitivities, please try cake with your baby before you arrive. Insurance asks that you provide the food at this time. While a small Publix smash cake is popular, it’s not required. If you want something unique, we love alternative smashes! A carved watermelon cake, stack of donuts, pizza, or fruit cake can make for fun and memorable photos! Pick whatever your baby loves to eat!
