How do we know what date to secure?

Your due date is used as a holding spot until baby comes. It is perfectly fine if baby comes late or early, this just helps me visually see all the sessions on my calendar so I make sure to leave plenty of room. I only take a set number of babies per month, so booking early is best.

when do sessions take place?

Newborn sessions are ideally scheduled when your baby is between 7-21 days old. At this age, babies are typically sleepier and easier to pose, which helps us capture those adorable curled-up shots.

Sessions themselves are mornings at 10Am when they are sleepiest.

What do i bring?

I provide everything for the session - all the wraps, outfits, and props needed for the session, so you don’t need to worry about dressing the baby either. Please do not bring outside items.

How long is the session?

The length of the session depends on the package you choose. My shortest session is around 30-40 minutes, while the longest, more family-focused sessions can last up to 2 hours.

How do we choose our images?

7-14 days after your session, you’ll join me on zoom for a video call. We will look through all of your images and at that time choose your favorites.

How Do i prepare baby for the session?

To ensure your baby is relaxed, it’s helpful to feed them right before the session. Try to keep them awake for about an hour before arriving, which helps them be extra sleepy for those adorable, posed shots.

What happens if my baby is fussy?

It’s completely normal! I work with the baby’s natural schedule and will take breaks as needed for feeding, changing, or calming. Patience is key, and we always make sure your baby is comfortable.

What should we wear for family photos?

I recommend neutral colors like whites, creams, soft grays, or pastels for family shots. Simple, timeless outfits work best to keep the focus on your newborn and the connection between family members. Avoid busy patterns or logos to maintain a clean, classic look.

How do you handle family photos with young siblings?

I always work to keep young siblings engaged and relaxed by having fun and taking breaks if needed. Bringing a favorite snack can also help keep them happy.

What newborn session package is best for me?

It depends on what you’re looking for! Here’s a quick guide to help you decide:

• Sweet Pea Package: Perfect if you want a short, baby-focused session with simple swaddled poses. It’s great for those who want a quicker session and a few beautiful images of their newborn.

• Sugar Package: Ideal for parents who want more variety in their baby’s images. This package gives you more time to capture a wider range of posed shots.

• Snuggle Package: Best if you want to include family images. It offers more time for both family and solo newborn portraits, creating a balanced gallery that captures your baby and your family connection.

Bonus: Once you see your gallery, you can always upgrade and purchase additional images or even the full gallery if you fall in love with more photos!

 How does the retainer work?

To secure your newborn session date, I require a non-refundable retainer at the time of booking. This ensures your spot is reserved on my calendar. The retainer is applied toward the total cost of your session, with the remaining balance due 5 days before your session.
