This was the most romantic honeymoon island wedding I’ve ever photographed and I can’t wait to show you this gorgeous wedding venue and their day!

Their family and friends gathered around them and put on a gorgeous wedding for them on Honeymoon Island State Park beach. They shopped, they steamed dresses, they did makeup and hair, they planned, and most of all, they celebrated and smothered them in love.

Make up and hair were done by the talented Ronnilyn Bradley.
Every little detail was perfect down to the gold starfish clip in her hair.

I think one of the most special parts of the day were the many touches throughout the day that highlighted someone special in their lives that no longer were with them.

They wanted to honor her grandmother during the ceremony, so we added it to her ring pictures. The bible made a perfect backdrop for the bride’s ring especially highlight this key verse about love. The Groom honored his mother by including her portrait charm in the bouquet. As you can see, the portrait of his mother was a beautiful touch to this bouquet of flowers.

The girl’s suite was full of excitement and fun as they all got ready. Details such as flower crowns, special necklaces, and a Bride being zipped into her gown are so important to a wedding.

Her color choices were drool worthy with shades of pastel that looked so beautiful on the beach. I am still swooning over them.

Sadly, the Groom’s mother has passed on, but the love for her and her life was clear. The Groom’s Aunt honored her in so many beautiful ways and you can see one shown here during her pinning on the groom’s boutonniere.

The wedding ceremony

And then everyone’s favorite part… the ceremony began!

My most favorite part was the Groom’s face when he saw his beautiful bride coming down the Isle.

The Bride and Groom decided to do a blending ceremony to honor the blending of families; The Bride and her daughter to the Groom.

They performed it with colored sand to commemorate this beautiful union.

The wedding reception

After the wedding ceremony was over, we headed to the Bride’s Father and Step Mother’s home where they had created the most romantic reception area I’ve ever seen!

First dances, the bouquet toss, and cutting of their cake completed the ceremony so nicely!

We are so happy for this gorgeous couple and their new adventure!

The comfort of in home

So, you’ve just had a baby and as a new mama, you’re probably a little worried about facing the world with this new blessing. My favorite part of a lifestyle newborn photography session is that I come to you! I know that for my clients it’s a relief that they don’t have to worry about packing a bag, packing up baby, or driving anywhere. And the convenience of home is a balm when there’s very little rest happening. I do not require any special prep for these session, so there is very little to prep. I want to document this beautiful season just how you are.

Home means something beautiful to each one of us. We all remember our first home. There’s a comfort there and memories of home are always sweet. These images will be unique to your family because your home is being captured. One day, you’re newborn will be older and you’ll be able to share the special place you brought them home to. Here is a favorite article of mine about how photographs in the home boost a child’s sense of worth. Can you imagine how much more that would be with your home in the photos?

Your whole family is invited

Studio sessions are gorgeous, but most of the time the studio is small and adding family into the session is an extra fee. In home newborn sessions offer the space that a studio cannot offer. My newborn sessions are natural, comfortable, and always include family members. My goal is for your newborn session to document your family’s excitement in welcoming your new baby. I want to capture parent, siblings, and even grandparents snuggling on baby!

Real moments

If you’ve been to my website before, you’ll learn really quick that I believe in the importance of moments over poses. During a newborn session it isn’t any different. When you hold a newborn baby your first instinct is to cuddle, to kiss, and to touch them. Those natural moments are precious and exactly the moments that mean so much. For the majority of a lifestyle session, baby will be in the loving arms of a parent, family member, or sibling.

No unnatural posing

The safety of your newborn is my top priority during your session. My lifestyle approach allows me to capture images of your newborn as well as newborn and family photos without any unnatural posing.

I do professionally wrap baby for you in a newborn wrap from our Client closet and do a series of setups with baby in props, but all posing is baby led. So, if baby decides she isn’t happy in a certain position, we will change it and move on to the next.

A couple of weeks ago, I was blessed to meet up with the Huchla family for some family photos. We met for a sunset family session in Tampa, Florida under some gorgeous oaks.
As you can see below, they rocked their sessions and you can definitely feel their emotions and love for each other in their images.

Lifestyle sessions are my favorite because it gives me a chance to connect with my clients. I get to talk to the kids, feel everyone out, and see what they are comfortable with. But most importantly, lifestyle sessions mean fun. I like to break up my sessions with prompts and activities to bring out the emotions in everyone!

As you can see below, they rocked their sessions and you can definitely feel their emotions in their images. No forced smiles here!
